The group lead by a single Gypsy made their way up to the closed Carnival Grounds. They Gypsy looked much like the others in the area. He walked barefooted, wore bright, light, sparkling clothing, and head a long piece of fabric over his forehead, hiding much of his hair.
The Carnival, which normally was a happy bright place, now looked dark and scary. The deepening shadows cast weird shapes all around. The place as broken down from only 3 months of not being in use. The ground were only used for half the year, since the other half it was normally to cold to be out. The metal fence around it was rusted from not being cleaned and when they got to the gate, it could easily be guessed that it would screech loudly when opened, scaring any animal close by to set off a chain reaction of stuff falling.
They could see many old stalls, still standing, but one small bump could change that. The paint was flaking off and the cheap wood beneath could be seen. The rides were in nearly the same conditions as the stalls, standing, but barely. They would be lucky to not come out of this needed a tetanus shot.

While in the back of the carnival a faint rustle in some bushes began.A wolf put it's head out that had 2 protruding long teeth and let out a huge yawn that showed rows of razer sharp teeth.Slowly it rised and stood on it's hind legs and flashed out it's long leathery wings and gave them a test flap.
It walked toward the fence and jumped with a flap of his wings over the fence and landed with a thump on the other end.The thump scared a few mice and sent them scurrying across the dirt. While some cats hissed at it and ran away. It walked up to a stand and put a talon on it and gave it a nudge and it collapsed in a cloud of dust. The beast coughed and gave an aggravated growl and walked on to find what he came here for some torat cards the Warlocks had wanted, and he was there the Beast for there plots,Tridok Moonblade.

"Eek! It's so scary!" Yuki said, finding a reason to jump behind Ajax and hold his arm. Of course, she was just playing, as a shape shifter could never be scared of something like this. But... it did make for a good excuse to grip onto Ajax. She giggled a little and curled her arms around his, hugging him, even though it was a small part of him. She smiled and looked up at him from under her lush, lowered lashs, "You'll protect me, right, Ajax?"
Ajax rolled his eyes at her, but tolerated the arm-hug. At this point, he didn't really care. This poor place, he felt bad for the way it was treated. He sighed a little and looked around moodily. While he wasn't scared, he didn't like being here. The smells... they reeked! To his sharp nose, everything was greatly inhanced. He raised his free arm and covered his nose with the sleeve of his shirt. No, he did not want to be here. He was willing to just get what had to be done over with, and go for the next card.

Tridok walked by some stalls and rides. They looked mistreated and junk.He flicked his tail at a rat and accidentally hit a dog in the snout and it woken with a growl but upon seeing Tridok cowered in fear.
Tridok heard some talking somewhere among the stalls so he crept in the shadows to the sound and saw a group of gypsies(he could tell by there clothes)and on the other end 2 people talking to each other.
Tridok thought about his chances with the gypsies and the 2 others and decided to go after the 2 people cause he would probably won't get hurt much if not at all.
Tridok crept in the shadows of a stall and waited for them to get in sight. When the did they he let out a battle howl and rushed at them in surprising speed. He ran directly at the girl of the two.

((There is only one gypsy but w/e))
Durriken looked around the park until he saw a slight hint of fine thread leading into the park. The threads began to shimmer and shine, but they always seemed just out of focus, like he could only barely see them. He focused on the strings until he heard the howl.
The...’thing’ seemed to run slowly as Durriken moved and saw it running at Yuki. He didn’t know why, but later he would guess it was because of their proximity to a Incarnation of the Tarot. Pulling a card from his deck, it seemed to glow brightly with energy, even though Durriken didn’t put much power into it. Slamming the card into the ground, he knew exactly what card he chose and what it would do.
The card was The Empress and it would rise vines in front of Yuki which would cut off the attacker from her. Large green vines ripped apart the hard compacted ground and rose high into the air. They were dark green with many sharp thorns. The vines were also very wide, as thick as Yuki was in the torso. There was only about 3 of them but their size created a sizable barrier against attack.

A shadow of a man weaved past booths, a rock popping into the air and back into his hand continually. He whistled as quietly as possible watching the pebble. A light shone across his face momentarily. His features were fair. Black hair waved across his neck to his shoulders. He wiped his bangs from his eyes to show two piercing blue eyes. In the distance he, Azrek, heard movement. Something was running. Something large.
He tossed the pebble aside into a wooden booth and broke into a sprint toward the noise. As he ran, Azrek gripped the 9 mm from its holster and held his arm at a 90 degree angle. Maybe he had finally found a Lycan for once. His stopped in his tracks at the site. A gypsy dropped a card to the ground, vines erupted infront of a girl, seeming to be a defense from a large creature.
Even better he thought. A hybrid. Azrek's arm stretched out and a silver bullet ripped through the air toward the hulking Lycan - Vampire.

Ryder had come to these grounds in search of the powers he had heard so much about. Many others wished to have it to further agendas for power, or even just to stop another race. That was not his ideal. He had seen the beast within himself and wished it away from all he knew. So he wisked from shadow to shadow, stopping behind booths and broken down rides to listen. He could heard combat on the other side of the fair grounds, which meant he would remain on his path, avoid the conflict.
he could almost feel the enegies being tossed about, there was a major wave of energy, a mage or warlock was here. The howl of a beast also caught his sensitive ears. he was not in a lycan nor demon form, but he still heard even the faintest rustle of leave, and this howl made his blood freeze in his veins, it was inhuman and not meant to be. He hoped deep inside that if the beast was part of the fight he heard, it would not make it out.
Ryder continued to tread silently along the darkened paths, weaving his way through the carnival grounds. He stopped at the opening to a hall of mirrors, he had been in one before, but never on an occasion such as this. He turned and stepped into the hall, the mirrors casting back twisted visages of his own face.
"Well...and here I thought I couldnt get any uglier..."

((-waves wand of adminness over Tridok and grins as he goes ‘poof’-))
Tridok slammed right into the vines that Durriken conjured. With the force they bounced him off, sending him flying toward the horizon far out of the carnival grounds. With the current menace gone the vines returned to the earth and the card went back into Durriken’s deck.
When Durriken stood fully from his crouch, the hairs on his neck stood up. There were others around, he could feel it.
“Who ever is here, come out!” he called out.
((-sigh- I hope Ajax comes back, I sent an IM to him seeing if he is gonna come back, if he doesn’t then I am going to put this on hold and restart it when I figure this all out.))

Ryder paced through this hall of mirrors for sometime. They did not sit well with him, somehow the thought of his image being twisted brought negative thoughts to the forefront of his mind. He sighed and tried his best not to look at any of the mirrors. though about half way through the hall, one of the mirrors just happened to catch his eye. Strangely enough this mirror was not warped nor bent in any way or manner. It was solid and smooth faced. And it did not distort his image at all.
Ryder stared at the mirror for a few moments before daring to touch it. It was just a mirror...but it was not hung up like the others either. It was standing on its own. not in a case, nor tied up. merely standing as if by some force of will. He looked behind it to find nothing as well. This confused him more than he felt comfortable admitting.
"Ok....so weird magic mirror....this has got to have something to do with what I'm looking for...."

As Ryder gazed at the Magic Mirror, it began to glaze over with a sort of fog, hiding his reflection. Than, after a few moments, the fog went away, revealing a man around the age of 23. He wore colorful closes with a bungled tied around a stick over his shoulder. It appeared like he was on a long journey. His cloths were covered in dirt and dust, and his face had a moderate tan.
“Who is it that seeks the power of The Fool?” asked the person, gazing at Ryder
Durriken‘s head looked up and turned toward the fun house. As he did one of the cards from his tarot deck left the deck and began to float toward the fun house. Durriken leaped up to grab it and wasn‘t surprised to see it was the ‘The Fool‘
“Guys, I think I know where the person is...and I think someone else got to him already.”

Ryder was taken back by a man just appearing in the mirror. he had seen some strange things in his travels but even this was new to him. The strange man looked young, about the same age as Ryder, maybe a year of two older. And was smothered in dirt, the dirt and dust of travel. Ryder was all to familiar with the type. But he was compelled to answer the mystical mans question before much else.
"I am Ryder Cantrael..Lycan-Demon hybrid...and it is I who seek the Fool...to bring me one step closer to my ultimate goal..."

“Understood” the man said, “Do you have an object associated with me to hold the gift if you so do earn it? Do you know the risk of such power, that an equal part of you must be lost for you to gain such a gift?”
What the man was referring to was Durriken’s Fool Card. But, he could be persuaded to use another object if it fits with the theme of The Fool’s Journey.
Durriken looked around wildly, forgetting much of the other people around him. When he saw the Fun House his eyes flashed a brilliant color and he knew that is where the Fool was. He ran past the others and into the Fun House. He stopped when he saw Ryder, but swallowed the past fear and went up to the mirror as well.
“I am Durriken Posterus Petulengro, holder of the cards, I have come to beseech your power humble Fool.” he said to him, with much respect in his voice, almost ignoring Ryder.

Ryder looked to the fool and found himself ignorant of how this worked, then the Gypsie... a card holder burst in, rudely interrupting him with lavished words. Even without knowledge of gypsies and the like, Ryder could read satin words, and all satin words held daggers beneath their soft overlays. He turned back to the fool, the image imbued in this mirror.
"Nay...I am not knowledged in how to keep such power...but to the question of loosing myself to have such...it is a small price to pay for my goal...for i would gladly loose my entirety in order to bring about the peace I dream of...For like what you mean to all who see you...I am a traveler...born to be such. Please, allow me to bring something for which to imbue unto you...only give me your word for this..."
Ryder glanced around quickly, knowing the man with him here knew much more than he did, thus he had to be quick. Then an idea struck him. And with his un-natural speed he burst out of the tent and down to a game stand, long deserted but he had seen it on his way in, there he grabbed what he took to be a walking stick. surely the fool would see this as a symbol of journeys and travel. So he sprinted with lightning speed back to the entrance of the hall of mirrors, hopefully he would not be too late.
"here!"

The man reached through the mirror and took the staff. He looked it over in his hands making approving sounds as he did so. Then, he handed the staff back through the mirror to Ryder.
After that was done, the man looked at Durriken and stated the same question. “What do you have associated with myself, that can hold my power if you so do earn it? And do you understand that something of equal value must be lost for you to gain this power?”
“Yes I do sir, and I got ‘the’ object associated with you.” he held up The Fool and handed it to the man through the mirror.
The man also took this card, and looked it over. He made louder approving sound with the card than with the staff.
“So it is, it has been a long time since I saw this deck, but the last time I saw it...it was in the protection of The Magician...but I can’t argue with you, this is the purest form of myself.” he said as he handed the card back.
“Okay, Ryder, Durriken, you two both agreed to take this test, now, past through one of the hallways in front of you and prepare to take the test of the fool. In the tarot, all the cards work together to tell unto other the future. That all starts with me, the beginning, and the person always told about by the other cards. To see the future of others mortals, you will have to deal with the horrors of your past.”

Ryder was not a fan of his past and for a moment he was hesitant to face it at all. Any bit of it would have been traumatic for most. But he could not allow Durriken to pass him by so easily. So he stepped through the glass into the hall, taking a deep breathe as he did.
"here goes nothing..."
