All of James' other relatives are either dead, or are living in secret.
Other Relationships:
James travels often and does not really personalize with others mainly because he cannot stay for long, and he never enjoys it.
Personality:
James is a very quiet, secretive, and mysterious person. His alignment is neutral, though he does lean towards the good at times, and sometimes evil has to lead a few actions due to the circumstance he encounters at times.
James is a person who respects everyone no matter what, until it is proven that a particular person does not deserve any respect at all. He does not talk with many other people, and keeps to himself a lot.
At times he thinks way too much about things, which causes him to underestimate certain happenings and make false assumptions.
History:
James was born in a small village run by humans, though there were a couple who possessed a small amount of magical ability. He was taught by his father on how to do all the things a boy should know how to do, plus more. He learned how to read many types of runes, including ones from ancient and extinct races. James' mother also helped with teaching him how to heal and how to treat others with the utmost respect and curtiousy.
When he was sixteen years old, James' village was attacked by a band of wild and evil vampires and demons. He was called to help fight to defend his village, along with his best friend Alken. Unfortunately, Alken did not survive the attack, nor did James' mother and father. The village, however, did win the battle and warded off the evil spirits, who eventually gave up and surrendered.
After the death of his family and friend, James decided to leave the village he grew up in and travel to different cities, villages, and kingdoms to study runes and other things in their libraries and universities. Ever since he has traveled alone, trying to expand his knowledge of runes, as well as trying to find out which tribe of vampires attacked his village years ago, to plan revenge on them.
Other General Information:
James is a tall man, being six feet tall. He mostly wears dark robes and dark colored traveling clothes. Whenever he is able to, James covers his head with the hood of his cloak. He has bright blue eyes and dark black hair that reaches down to just a little below his shoulders.
He usually carries a sheathed sword at his belt, and hides a dagger in his right boot, and a couple on the back of his belt, and occasionally next to his sword. All of his weapons are always located on his right side, no matter what.
James has a runic marking near his left eye, though it is usually covered up by his hair. He has that same marking, though larger and a little different, on his left arm. The top of his left hand has a different runic marking, and it is usually also covered up by long sleeves and such. His back has a large rune on it, all in black.
James usually carries a pack strapped to his back, or hung around his shoulder, and occasionally strapped to his belt that contains healing supplies, a book of runes, a spare dagger, and some other things that he finds useful in his traveling.

RP Sample (2-3 Paragraphs Please):
It was a dark and stormy night. The clouds above were pitch black, and threatened a downpour of rain. Thunder roared from time to time, trying to intimidate an unknown force. Lightning flashed from the sky often, seeming to hit the roofs of houses, but just missing by inches.
A dark hooded figure walked quickly through the streets of the city, the figure's dark green cloak following behind him, and a sword sheathed to his belt. James nervously watched the streets out of the corner of his eye, watching for any sign of movement, and occasionally he glanced at the sky for any sign of rain flowing down from the heavens.
He made haste trying to get to a library where he was supposed to be at now, though he was running rather late considering he had been a little off track, due to the storm and the guards at the gate of the city. James quickly tried to hurry towards the study, in fear of the rain soaking through his cloak to his pack, which would ruin many things in there, and destroying a prized possession.
If needed he would find shelter somewhere else, though he did not like being late, and since he already was late, he did not want to make the matter worse. James quickened the pace more and more, as he started to feel small drops of rain on his hood. "Drat!" he swore to himself quietly and hurried towards the library, which he could see in the distance.
The rain started to pour harder and harder, and it seemed like an eternity before James had almost reached the doors, but to find that they were locked. He sighed and banged on the door waiting for someone to open it before his things were damaged more. James was just about to leave when the doors opened and he was allowed inside.
"My apologies for being late, sir." he said and stepped inside.
