As the massive power wave hit him, his mind went blank for a second. But then he remembered what he had to do. Collecting his feelings of want... want to see her, want to talk with her, want to apologize to her, he shouted her name loud and clear...
"REIKO BEATRIZ ABEO!!!!!!!!"

When he shouted the name the pentagram began to glow softly once more. It glowed an eery green color as Durriken waited, to see if the spirit would respond to the call. He hoped it would since it was her brother that called her. But it was all the spirits decision whether to come or not.
Then, a small astral form of Ajax’s sister appeared. You could see through her easily, but she was there.
“Ajax, your sister is here” he said softly.

Ajax took a deep breath, and looked. There she was, small and innocent, like the last time he had seen her... no, she seemed a tad older than before. He walked over, and looked up at her, tears filling in his eyes.
"R-R-Reiko?" He asked softly, starting to reach out for her. His hand met nothing, though. It went right through cold air. He brought it back to him and looked at her with disbelief. Then he looked at Pro quickly. This was... unbelieveable.
(Is she going to be a free for all character? One that we both play, or what?)

(I am thinking just you since you know the charrie more then I do. At most I might post with her here or there if I need to for some reason.)
Durriken grinned as he pretty much feel on his ass from fatigue. Normally the cards hand enough power to use their spells, but the big things like this sapped most of his energy as well. He sat, breathing hard as he slowly regained his energy as he glanced at the door, wondering if the other shape shifters were scared off by the blast of energy.
“Go ahead Ajax” he said calmly.
(-whispers- My charrie’s name is “Durriken” not “Pro” -giggles-)

(Man! I keep typing Pro, and then I catch myself and go, "No! You idiot, it's Durriken... I've done that at least ten times already... I didn't even catch that one! MANNN!!!!)
"Yes, brother?" Reiko replied, her voice as soft as a cloud and fragile as glass. She gazed down at him with a smile on her face.
Ajax was brought back to when he was younger. He was an eight year old again, looking at his beloved sister. He wanted to touch her, but he couldn't, "Reiko... Father... he wouldn't let me see you! I wanted to apologize for when I shoved you into some mud, but I never got the chance. Will... will you forgive me?"
"Of course I will. I forgave you as soon as you did it. I could never be mad at you, brother. I love you. That's why I've watched you. But... brother... you're making me cry." Reiko finished in a sad voice, and she looked away from Ajax, stepping back a pace.
"Wh-why, Reiko?!" Ajax said, his eyes filling with tears. He wanted to reach out for her, to hold her, but he couldn't.
"Brother, you've been doing bad things. Horrible things. It... it shames me... I feel sad for you... I was there with you when those humans did those horrible things to you, I tried to help you. But after all of it happened, you had such a grudge! I was frightened, and went away. You aren't the brother I knew. I miss him." Reiko said, her voice airy and light. Yet, it still held the soft, disappointed tone.
"I... I can change, if you'll be with me!" Ajax said desperately, tears streaming down his face. He looked at her, "Be... be with me, Rei..."

Durriken got up, still weakened by the spell and put his hand on Ajax’s shoulder.
“Ajax, she has always been with you. But only in spirit. And even all the power in the world can’t bring a spirit back from the other world.” he said to him.
(Again, short post...I can’t think of anything)

(*sing songy voice* Someone's mind is shot... someone's mind is shot!)
"You... You have, haven't you, Rei..." Ajax said, not even remembering that Durriken was there. He smiled a very sweet, very real smile, "You've always been there for me..."
"Yes, Brother, I have been... except for that once... It was so scary." A 'spirit-tear' slid down her face, but she wiped it away with a smile, "But I still love you, Ajax... I always will. And, some day, we'll be able to play together again. Just remember that, Brother..."
"Yes, Rei, I will. I love you too." Ajax said, smiling.

Slowly, the spirit of Ajax’s sister faded away as the light from the cards did as well. As the light from the cards faded a loud banging on the door occurred. Durriken jumped and landed on his butt on top of some of his cards.
“Um...I think we got company.” he said as he saw the door shaking and dents starting to form.

"Leave it to me," Ajax said, genuinely grinning back at Durriken. He looked at the vanishing form of his sister, blew her a kiss, and smiled. "You'll always be with me... and you'll give me strength to beat the crap out of these shapeshifters, huh, sis?"
Ajax grabbed his daggers, made his nails long, and lengthed his fangs. Then he hunched in front of the caving-in door. He quickly looked back, "Hey, Durri, gather up all those cards, and quick. It might get a little messy in here!"

Durriken nodded and began to gather the cards around them. He would have just summoned them to his hand, but they were as pooped as he was after that spell.
“Okay, but they won’t be as strong as before for a while, but I should at least be some help.” he said as he finished gathering the rest of the cards.

The door burst open, and some shapeshifters glared at Ajax, who was standing right in their pathway to the magician who cast the spells. He grinned terribly, and tilted his head, "Looking for something?"
One of the shapeshifters came forward, "You half-breed scum, who was the one who did all that magic without permission?"
"Who, me? Half-breed scum, eh? Sure, that's the guy who did the magic, but you're not gettin past me, pure blood." Ajax said, holding his sharp daggers to the sides in a very interesting guard position. He grinned nastily, "I never lose a battle. I can do things you pure bloods can't. A lot of things. Including storing up energy. You wouldn't want to see that all flooding your way, now would you?"

Durriken grinned to himself as he saw Ajax, he really changed from before. Now he had a lot more self confidence, and he would bet that his heart let go of most of the anger. He put his hand on the top of the deck and willed a few card to go to the top, just to be safe. They weren’t real powerful cards, such as actually attacks, but they could give Ajax an edge if he needed it.

"Oh really? And what makes the word of a half-breed true?" the lead shapeshifter said, after only a pause. But there was that pause, that hesitation of uncertainty.
"Because... a half-breed human feels guilty when a lie is said," Ajax replied, flipping his blades around. Slowly, he was manuvering himself into a better fighting position... And people wondered how he finished every fight he was in.
The lead shapeshifter had no words for that, but, instead, changed into a large cat. Ajax sheathed his knives and shifted into a bigger cat. It was a classic shapeshifter "king of the hill" game... the person who could shapeshift into the biggest animal won, starting out small.

Durriken looked at this in awe. He heard of this before, they would shape shift until one couldn’t take the form of a larger creature. He could help with this. He didn’t want to cheat for Ajax, but it was better this way then if he lost and a fight ensued. He will the Six of Swords to the top of the deck so he could cast an illusion if he had to.

Ajax flipped around quickly at Durriken's movement and shook his head, hissing softly, "Stay out of this... It's a shapeshifter thing... And think of all that shapeshifter energy I have... I'm not going to loose... I have more than all of these, because they constantly use their powers."
The lead shapeshifter hissed viciously and grew bigger, "Lies... you will loose, you pitiful hybrid!"
Ajax turned back, growing bigger again, "Not lies, and you fog yourself from the truth, pure blood. Only a shapeshifter is idiotic enough to do that."
And they kept growing bigger.
But the lead shapeshifter forgot on thing... drinking effects shapeshifting powers slightly... draining them... and he had been drinking for quite a while.
They were extremely big, almost too big to fit inside the inn. But then, the lead shapeshifter faltered.
Ajax growled in victory, and grew bigger still. He hissed with satisfaction, "Idiot shapeshifter. That is what you will be called for this day. Told you I would win. You are the idiot shapeshifter who was beaten by a weakling hybrid."
This was another of their customs... the shapeshifter who lost would be shamed, and it was surprising that Ajax let him off so easily.
