(I bet that his house is actually pretty far from the lake, but this seemed to be the only place where I could put it, so yeah. XD I'm going to start with them approaching the house.)
Ajax was tense... He was very, very tense. The house that he had run along in... The house that his sister had suffered through her virus in... Did Father still keep that door closed? Ajax shook his head and tried to clear his thoughts of that.
Suddenly, he felt the urge to look up, to look for that massive house that looked so grand, so noble. He looked, trying to spot it. But they were still not close enough, and the house was beyond the bend in the road. Trees blocked his view. Still, he strained to look past them. It was hopeless.
Ajax dropped his eyes and looked at the dirt road that had been worn from age. He sighed, thinking about his life, how useless it had been so far. Then he looked up at his father. The figure of all his rage for all these years. That was the face of it. Yet... he felt no more rage, and saw a kindness in the face that he had never seen before. He sighed and looked back down.
"I know that face, young one. You are confused, are you not? Such is the way of young shape-shifters who have hated all their lives. Even more so, it is the way of young hybrids like yourself. Don't question life, for it is slipping through your fingers much too quickly. What is done, has been done. Don't look on the past either, for it is also done. Nothing can revoke it, and nothing will. Forgive and forget, such is the way of our Gods, and you know this well." His father said in a sagely voice, looking at his son with interest.
"I know that father, I know." Ajax said, looking ahead. They were turning, and there wasn't much more to go before they would arrive. He looked up, and saw the very corner of his house. Ajax bit his lip nervously, and continued walking.

Durriken glanced over out of the corner of his eye at Ajax. From his tense body language he was guessing that they were getting close. When Ajax looked up, so did Durriken, he looked up and couldn’t see the house. He raised one eyebrow in confusion as he looked, and looked back down to the ground since he didn’t see the house.
His feet walked down the path with the occasional snap of a twig. It would have hurt most people but his feet were tough from never wearing any shoes in his life. He kept up well with the others, even though he had no idea where he was going and they did.

Ajax looked at Durriken and nodded, "We're almost there."
Then he paused for a second, looking at the dirt road as it turned off to go in another direction. From now on, they would be traveling on a foot path through the woods up to the house. Ajax started up expectantly. The path was narrow, but still well-worn, and there was the smell of pine all around. He continued on, gazing for signs of the house. Suddenly, with no warning at all, the trees broke, and Ajax saw the house. It was... majestically massive. What one person, an elderly shape-shifter at that, could do with all this space was a wonder. He gulped, but the size did not daunt him. To his perspective, the house had gotten slightly smaller, as he had grown since the last time he saw it.
The stone it was made out of was carved beautifully, by the hands of a true artist. The artwork the house presented itself was enough to daunt one. Still, Ajax plowed on, walking up to the door. After a little rummaging, he fished out his key, slightly rusty from wet and neglect. Still, as he turned it, the door gave a satisfied click!
Ajax was home.

Durriken ducked occasionally as a low branch came near his head. He enjoyed walking threw the forest, he always did. It brought back memories of him and his mother. When they got to the house he looked up in awe at it’s size. The largest building he ever saw were inns that he had to stay in.
“This place is magnificent.” he said slowly.

Ajax's father smiled kindly, "Thank you, young one. This house was the product of much labor for my ancestors. Our family has an artistic streak, all of us, even Ajax. In fact, I believe that he really likes to draw, if I'm not mistaken. Still, I wouldn't bring it up with him. Ajax never told you my name, but it would be ackward for you to call me Father, I'm sure. My name is Muto."
Ajax looked back at them, "Are you two going to chat all day, or can we go in? Geez."
He walked into the room and stared up at the artwork on the ceiling. Everywhere, there was paint on the walls. Some of it was drying still. While the paintings were beautiful, they had to be redone every century or so. Still, there wasn't a wall in the entire building that didn't have some sort of picture on it.
"I had forgot this one..." Ajax whispered, looking at the kitchen he had entered.
"Yes, well... That might be perhaps because that one is the one I put on myself. And you have to start working out a design for the one you put on."
He turned to Durriken, "It's a tradition in this family to paint something on a wall. Something to always stick with the house, even if we don't. And when we run out of wall space, we build a new section of the house and continue. And... as you can see, I was also redoing some of the older paintings."
Ajax smiled before walking towards the door. It popped open right before he was going to open it, and a pretty young woman walked through. She didn't see Ajax, and ran into him. The she looked up at him, and her mouth fell open.
"M-m-my Lord Ajax! I'm so sorry!" Yuki said, staring up at him, paralyzed. She felt immobile in his arms. Her childhood love... he had come back.
Ajax looked down quizically, trying to figure out who the servant was. Obviously, she was, indeed, a servant. He bit his lip, and then his eyes widened, as he remembered that servant girl, the one he had played with as a child. What was her name? Yuko... Yunu... No, it was Yuki!
"Uh... Y-Yuki, is that you?" Ajax stuttered, too amazed to push her away from where she was against his chest.

((Finally posted ;-P))
Durriken nodded slightly as they spoke, since he was so absorbed in all the paintings around him. He moved slowly, falling further and further behind as he looked at all the artwork on the walls. They were amazing. He was never that good at drawing or anything artistic. One of these days though he was going to have to draw his own cards and transfer the power and personality of his current ones to the hand drawn deck. But...as always, he put that old thing to do at they very bottom of his “Things to Do List” within his mind.
The girl...Yuki, appearing snapped Durriken out of his daze. He watched the confrontation oddly. First the wise old father who Ajax was afraid of, now a crazy girl that just hugged him out of nowhere.

Ajax, getting over himself, blushed and gently pushed her away at Durriken's look. He forgot to mention her, and then there was the issue of her little 'gift' that she had. He winced slightly, predicting what was about to happen.
Yuki turned, broken out of her shock by her quick temper, looking at Durriken. "Crazy? I'm not crazy, thank you very much. Hell, you would be as shocked if you saw your master after so long too!"
Yuki, the Yuki that had been so girlish still when Ajax left, now turned, her graceful feminine features an artwork of beauty. She had a gorgeous body, and she knew it. So what if she was a servant? Master Muto couldn't keep her here if she didn't want to stay. For one, she belonged to Ajax, and when Ajax walked out that door, she was technically free because he hadn't ordered her along. No, she was here because of the mighty shape shifter's protection. A girl of her beauty was easily mugged and raped, or sold to be a sex slave. It was just better for her to stay here.
Yuki also had another unique power, and that was of telepathy. She knew from the very start of her service here that she was loved and like one of the family. She knew that when she was older, Master Muto wouldn't take advantage of her.
She looked at Ajax with her oddly colored eyes, one a crystal blue so light that it looked like ice, and one that was a dark, murky violet that seemed like silk. He was a little embarrassed. She felt bad, but still continued, "Durriken, it's not my fault for being so surprised. I had no warning at all, not from that great a range, and Master Muto was out the door quickly."
Ajax groaned a little at her temper, and put his head in his hands with a exasperated sigh. What was he do to with her? This ancient shape shifter god that had chosen a mortal form to serve his clan... whose powers were dormant, but could awaken at any time, like the telepathy had?... What was he to DO with her?

When the girl made a comment about the things he said with his thoughts, he raised an eyebrow and subconsciously took a step backward. His fingers twitched over his deck as he wanted to put up a card to block out her thoughts from his, but knew it would be rude to do so. It would imply that he did not trust he, and that would me he did not trust the family. And he did not dare cross the old man.
“If you saw a person just run out of a random room and hug a man...you would think he or she was crazy as well.” he said.
Durriken’s cards sensed what Ajax did as well. He had to hold his hand over the opening to keep dozens of cards from flying out at the huge suppressed energy source.

Yuki rolled her eyes, "I did NOT run for one. I was about to help myself to a snack. And I did NOT hug him. He was in my way. I opened the door to see him there. I haven't sensed him in so long, but I'm so used to his presense that I wasn't alert. I was more alert about you, stranger. I've never felt your presense before, but I can sense hybrid ties. Perhaps a gypsy and a warlock? Who knows... who cares? You're here, I'm here, Master Ajax is here, and Master Muto is here. It's the present that matters, not the past."
Ajax winced at each sentance, and shook his head. This girl, who had no idea what she was, was so sensitive to auras. She could tell age, race, and many other things, though subconsciously, unless she concentrated. Thinking about this took him back to when her telepathy had revealed itself.
It was a stormy night, and things weren't going so well at the household. The storm had formed quickly, and the windows were open. Ajax and Yuki ran for all their worth, though their bodies small, into the rooms and out of them. Suddenly, Yuki had fallen out of one of the windows. Ajax, not even thinking, threw himself out the window and shifted into a cat to absorb the shock. Yet, when he hit the ground, Yuki was no where to be seen. He started to panic before he looked up. A bright white light was surrounding Yuki, gently lowering her down. His father had come out of the stables, after calming the horses, to watch them.
Yuki was still high in the air when a sweet voice started to speak. Smooth and lucious, this was the voice of a Goddess for sure. While the voice talked, the rain went away, though dark clouds were still overhead.
"This is my girl. This is my child. Yuki, as you call her, is an incarnation of the beautiful Goddess Yukika. Her powers, now dormant, will start to grow and reveal themselves to you. Take heed, young shape shifter. You too, wise Muto. Find it in your heart to keep her and protect her. Great things shall come from her. Also, she is to be treated like family. Wise Muto, let her slip from her grasp. She belongs to the young hybrid. Understand? He belongs to her, not to you. She was never meant for you.
"Troubling times lie ahead for you, both of you. Stay alive, live, learn and be happy. And never tell Yuki of her powers. No, let her discover them. Perhaps she won't, and that will be for the best. Still, this shall be shielded from her. If you think about it, she will still not learn of it." The voice stopped, and the rain returned, though a much more gentle one. The light started to fade around Yuki, but she was lowered so that Ajax could grab her from the air and hold her close to him. Her face was so angelic, and she had blacked out.
When she had awoken, she started blurting what people were thinking, until she learned to protect herself against unwanted thoughts. Still, that power was with her ever since.
Ajax sigh again and smiled at Durriken, "Hold your cards, they will do no good. Also, whatever you feel, you must not tell her."

Durriken nodded but gave him a look that said that he was giving no promises, he would try, but the cards had minds of their own, and a group mind...it was all very confusing and hard to control at times.
“Would it be alright if I looked at the other paintings around the house. I would love to look at them.” he said, really wanting to see the paintings, and, if he came across one, a library.

Ajax blinked, having forgotten that Durriken was really new here... He had never seen all the paintings that were in this place. With a tentative smile, he nodded. "Sure... The ones in the library are the most amazing of them all. I suppose that it will be the tour of the house as well."
Ajax moved to the door where Yuki had sprung out of, and stepped out into the hall. The place was so big, he would have to think how to cut it into portions... Perhaps he would cut the house into a couple of days... With this day having the east wing of the house, which included the library. Ajax nodded to himself, walking slowly down the painted hall, looking at the pictures that were even amazing here.
"We'll really start with the Library, and then go from there," Ajax said. He took a left turn, and led the way to the library down a few short, but painted, halls.

Durriken went down the halls, looking at each painting. He never believed that anybody could make paintings this well. The paintings drew him away from the thoughts of the library. He almost forgot about it until they came out of the hall way outside the great wooden hardwood doors.
“Where those done by the servants, or also by your family?” he asked, not sure since it was a servant hallway.

Ajax smirked, "Every single one was done by a member of the Abeo family. Servants, most of whom are humans or hybrids here, do not have this sort of talent. This is talent that runs only in the Abeo family. Even the Shifter Lord draws worse than I do. That's sort of amazing, as I've been out of practice. Still, he wouldn't want to draw anyways... Still, never think that anyone else did these... These are the Abeo greatest treasure. This is where my ancestors put their pride."
Ajax pushed open the doors, which had interesting pictures that were expertly made from the grain of the wood... The wood wasn't discolored at all, and one could see the extrodinary pictures on the doors only if one got close enough to them.
Ajax spread the doors wide, and turned dramatically, with his arms up, to frame the library, which was one of the biggest in the world. Also, the murals in here were breath-taking... Some were even mesmerizing. The Abeo's that painted these wall put their hearts into it, making this room their pride and joy.

Durriken walked slowly into the Library, looking up at the paintings on the wall with awe. His head looked toward the ceiling and high wall to see the only ones visible over the high shelves of books. He took less then a half dozen steps when he stopped and just turned, taking in all the images around him. They paintings were in such detail, and were done with such grace. They were breathtaking.
Suddenly, all the cards began to surge from the box on his waist. The flew out so quickly the Durriken couldn’t have hoped to try and keep them within. They were going nuts, like a swarm of angry bees. The force of them flying out made Durriken fall on his ass with a loud thud that sent the wind rushing out of this lungs. Durriken started wide eyed as he cards flew around the room, all 78 in one giant swarm.
The cards flew down the rows of books quickly before stopping at a single book. Working as one they pulled the book out and brought it over to Durriken, dropping it on his lap. The book was an old leather bound tomb. On the leather were pressed for symbols, one of a sword, the second a cup, the third a wand or staff, and the last a pentacle. Durriken stared at it, knowing that it had something to do with Tarot, but how did a Shape-shifter get something normally held dearly by the Gypsy.

Ajax cried out in alarm, and quickly fell to the ground in a kneeling position, thinking of what Durriken had done to him barely a day ago. He bit his lip and looked up, seeing a book being transported by the cards... At least they weren't after him this time. Ajax stood and watched as they dropped the book into the fallen Durriken's lap. He grinned, "Well... I suppose that you get that book. I don't think Father will mind if you really want it, and will take care of it. He probably won't charge you with anything either..."
Yuki looked at the two that left the kitchen, blinking slowly... Had Master Ajax just tried to smile? That was odd. Well, she had better follow them, but first, there was the issue of the snack she had been meaning to get. She reached in the cooling device that some random shape shifter had made, and drew out a cold orange. Then, she turned to Master Muto, "Muto-sama! Would you like to join me in going down to the Library, were they are undoubtedly headed?"
Muto smiled softly, "Yes, my dear Yuki... Let us go down there. Why don't you call me that in front of people? I like it when you call me Muto-sama..."
"Sorry, Muto-sama... but I don't like to call you that around strangers... Ajax would be okay, but I don't want to seem too forward to Durriken, even though he probably thinks I am anyways." Yuki replied, sighing a little. She dug her claws into the orange, greatful for the tough nails of a cat. Quickly, she peeled it and threw it outside, where there was a compost pile. Then she started to eat the orange, which was sweet and juicy.
She took Muto's arm in hers, and they walked together down the hall. When they entered the library, though, all thoughts of the orange were gone, and it slipped out of her hands. (Muto, thank goodness, caught said orange before it hit the ground.)
Crying out, she put her hands up to her ears, and fell to the floor, pain twisted on her face. She squeezed her eyes shut, saying painfully, "Too many. Too many. Too many!!!"
Ajax rushed over, seeing Yuki on the floor, and held her in his arms. Worry on his face, he called to her, "Yuki? Yuki?!"
